So, you want to be a nurse injector?
“I am excited that you are here and about to embark on reading what I have to say. This information will be invaluable to your success. After years as an injector and educator, I have an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be the best in your field.
It takes 10 years and 10,000 hours to develop mastery. Mastery is not genetic and is not inherent; it is a choice – a choice to be dedicated to your craft. Malcolm Gladwell discusses this topic frequently in his book Outliers. The concept of mastery deeply resonated with me as I sat back and recognized that I had been practicing cosmetic medicine for over ten years.
My weekend certification course needed more to develop any real sense of mastery in the field. I was confident enough to open an account with the big pharmaceutical companies. As I traveled the world to expand my understanding of aesthetic medicine and treating patients who suffered complications, I set out to improve patient safety through advanced aesthetic training programs for providers.
My programs at DCCM™ Academy have been created out of years in the industry, pitfalls, and highlights. I have traveled the globe training with many of the major players in the industry and have been able to pull pearls and pitfalls from every training. Anyone can take a weekend course and call themselves certified, but the real question is not, are you certified, but are you knowledgeable and proficient in the newly acquired skill and safe? Many courses focus on getting the students in and out. I focus on choosing the right student for the course and ensuring they have the support necessary to launch into aesthetics medicine.”

These courses will give you an extensive overview of facial aesthetics. You’ll learn the ins and outs of facial anatomy, the aging process, how to administer fillers and tactics for building great relationships with patients in a medical spa.
This four-day program helps you learn the ins and outs of the industry. You will take courses such as:
From injection techniques to pricing and marketing your business, Aesthetic Immersion Training covers everything.
This two-part course covers the history and use of FDA-approved neurotoxins before students get to practice on models. All injections and practice time are one-on-one with Tara. Depending on your situation or learning preferences, we also offer a hybrid edition. The Hybrid Edition of The Essentials of Cosmetic Neurotoxin offers a recorded lecture for you to learn at your pace before coming to DCCM™ Academy for in-person practice.
Business Plan and Development (coming soon!)
Be on the lookout for a complete guide to starting, scaling, and maintaining a successful business in Medical Aesthetics.
This is a comprehensive course covering the science of aging. You will learn what happens anatomically as we age to ensure that you properly assess your patients. This is crucial to creating treatment plans that you tailor for every patient.
If you want to see firsthand how a practice operates successfully, ask questions along the way, and receive tips from professionals, this is the course to take. For two full days, you have the opportunity to shadow DCCM™ providers, debriefing afterward to cover all of your needs.
This two-part course offers a comprehensive introduction to Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers. You will earn a certification for treating patients’ cheeks, chin, and jawline.
This is a program that covers areas on which you need additional clarification. For a minimum of six months, you can take courses such as:
Save yourself the time, effort, and headache of trying to figure out how you can optimize your business. This program offers you two phone conversations with Tara a month. You can use this time to ask questions about results, treatment plans, business strategies, and more.
Take one day per month to shadow Tara with a group of up to three people in total. You’ll see how we build relationships, uphold standards, and run things from day to day with patients.
After you complete essential training, move on to advanced techniques with private training that cater to your individual needs. We provide models for your practice during these sessions.
So many people want plump, smooth lips. But that means that providers must be able to offer the right techniques for everyone. The last thing you want is filler migration or mismanagement of vascular occlusions. Tara uses decades of experience traveling and learning to share her findings with you on safely injecting fillers.
Upon completing courses, students receive certificates of competency. These indicate their proficiency and commitment to ongoing learning. Through continued education and skill development, graduates can fine-tune their talents and master new techniques. Upskilling ultimately leads to more patients, increased earning potential, and greater prospects.
Sign yourself up for an aesthetic nurse injector program; we look forward to meeting you!
