Welcome to our Continuing Education Program Training Menu!

We offer 4 different editions or versions of each of the 4 group training courses we offer: The Essentials of Cosmetic Neurotoxin, The Essentials of Dermal Filler: Mid-Facial Structure, The Essentials of Dermal Filler: Lip Augmentation, and The Art of Facial Assessment and The Science of Aging. The 4 editions of each course are: Fully In Person, Hybrid, Academic, and Clinical Only.

Fully In Person

You must have an active and unencumbered medical license (LPN, RN, NP, PA, MD, DO) in the state of New Hampshire or another Nursing License Compact (NLC) state if applicable to enroll in these course editions. Fully in person courses are the original group training format at DCCM™ Academy. They are, as the title indicates, a full in person 10 hour day of training. We start the day with didactic learning in our classroom followed by lunch and an afternoon of hands-on clinical practice with models and products provided for you at no additional cost. Class sizes range from 4 – 12 students, however we maintain a strict 4:1 student to instructor ratio during the hands-on clinical component. Students receive a certificate of competency upon completion and are certified to treat their own patients in the relevant skill area. CME/CEU credit as well as a course manual are both included in the cost of this edition of the training. Fully in person courses are offered on preset days only from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. In general, we recommend this edition for students who prefer the structure of a distraction free, in-person learning environment for their lecture. In person students also have the opportunity to ask questions in real time.

Hybrid

You must have an active and unencumbered medical license (LPN, RN, NP, PA, MD, DO) in the state of New Hampshire or another Nursing License Compact (NLC) state if applicable to enroll in these course editions. Hybrid courses provide a hybrid of virtual and in-person learning. Once you are enrolled, you will have access to a recorded version of our lecture and any relevant demonstrations performed during the in person edition of the course. You will then come in for the hands-on clinical portion of the course. Models and product will also be provided at no additional cost to you for this edition. The availability of the hands-on clinical portion of this course is more flexible than the fully in-person course and is offered more frequently. We maintain a strict 4:1 student to instructor ratio during the hands-on clinical component. Students receive a certificate of competency upon completion and are certified to treat their own patients in the relevant skill area. CME/CEU credit as well as a course manual are both included in the cost of this edition of the training. In general, we recommend this edition to students who have less flexible schedules and may not be able to take a full day off of work. Additionally, this edition offers students the opportunity to pause, rewind, and rewatch the lecture at their leisure for improved note taking if that is your learning style.

Academic

Academic courses are intended for non-clinical staff, estheticians, and anyone in the aesthetics industry who wants to learn more about a given topic but does not possess a medical license to actually perform treatments. There is no in person clinical component to this training, it is a fully virtual learning opportunity. Students receive a certificate of completion as opposed to a certificate of competency upon course completion and are NOT certified to treat their own patients in the relevant skill area. Students will NOT receive CME/CEU credit and a course manual is available for purchase. We recommend purchasing your course manual when you enroll and waiting to begin your course until it arrives so you can follow along and make notes in the margins.

Clinical Only

You must have an active and unencumbered medical license (LPN, RN, NP, PA, MD, DO) in the state of New Hampshire or another Nursing License Compact (NLC) state if applicable to enroll in these course editions. Clinical only courses are essentially a more accessible, targeted version of our private trainings. We understand the cost of private trainings and additional clinical experience in general can be prohibitive to new injectors. To address this, we now offer small group trainings where we will review essential as well as advanced clinical techniques. Each student will have time to treat two models one on one with the instructor while the other students are free to observe and ask questions to further everyone’s learning opportunities. We will only cover skills and techniques relevant to the chosen skill area. For example, we will only cover cosmetic neurotoxins during the cosmetic neurotoxin clinical only course. Product cannot be provided for these clinical only courses. Product can be acquired from the manufacturer through your sales rep, or through DCCM™ Academy at cost. We encourage every student to bring their own models to start to develop their own patient base. During the course, you can create a full treatment plan for your model with our instructor’s help, treat them with the relevant procedure we are focusing on that day, and then have them come visit you again for the rest of their treatment as a paying client. If you are truly unable to find models, you can let us know and we can help you. Please note you must inform us at least 2 weeks in advance should you need models recruited for you. The earlier you let us know, the better. These courses have a prerequisite that you must already be certified in the relevant skill area through DCCM™ Academy or another accredited training academy in order to enroll. For this reason, these courses alone will NOT certify you to treat your own patients in the relevant skill area. Students will receive a certificate of completion as opposed to competency. Students will NOT receive CME/CEU credit and a course manual is available for purchase.
